Cicero wrote De Officiis (on moral duties) to his son who was studying philosophy in Athens.

The attached document is an abridged version of it, so the students do not have to read the whole thing.

The Internet Ancient History Sourcebook has a lot of good documents for study, but no abridgements of this one.  Contributions of further abridements welcome.
